Job Description:


The Business Development Associate (North America) will be responsible for sales generating activities such as market research, market penetration, lead generation and trade show coordination/logistics.  This position focuses specifically on the North American market, but is part of the larger Global Business Development Department with team members also in Europe and Asia.  Specific job activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Generating a high quality lead pipeline for the North American sales team by identifying, qualifying and prospecting potential opportunities within a defined market
  • Identifying the highest potential North American tradeshows and handling all related logistics (booth rental, shipping, custom product displays and swag, and physical booth setup)
  • Developing initial relationships with potential customers and leads generated from trade shows
  • Effectively responding to all inquiries within a specified timeframe
  • Gathering competitive and market intelligence for storage in databases
  • Enhancing job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations
  • Participating in global virtual meetings with Global Business Development Department
  • Travelling throughout North America as required. Occasional travel to Europe and Asia for training and collaboration with internal Global Business Development Department team

  • 4 Year Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in Business. Open to equivalent education and relevant experience
  • Minimum 4 years business development or B2B sales experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with trade shows and related logistics
  • Experience with electric actuation, pneumatic or hydraulic systems a plus. Shows consistent professionalism and good judgment
